Donny! Kolby Donovan re-signs with Jr Hat Tricks

The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks are bringing back some Rocky Mountain scoring.

Kolby Donovan, ’00-born Loveland, CO native, has re-signed with the team for the 2020-21 season. Donovan was one of the most reliable two-way players for the Danbury Colonials last season, posting 25 goals and 25 assists in 43 games. Eight of his tallies came on the man advantage, and was one of just four players to score a short-handed goal on the roster.

“I couldn’t be more excited to spend my last year of junior hockey in Danbury,” said Donovan. “The coaching staff is second to none, they genuinely care about developing players not only on the ice but as young men.”

“It’s a big year for us 2000s trying to secure college commitments,” he continued. “I’m confident Danbury is going to give me the best opportunity to do so.”

Head coach Kevin Cunningham was equally thrilled to have one of his best scoring forwards back on the team.

“Kolby was a vital part of our success last year,” he began. “He scored a number of huge goals for us. He brings character and attention to detail to our locker room as well as a reliable 200-foot-game.”
