Jr Hat Tricks re-sign Cole Madzey

Danbury’s NA3HL team is getting their captain back.

Cole Madzey, an ’00-born Frisco, TX native, has officially re-upped with the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks for the 2020-21 season. Madzey was named captain of the Danbury Colonials midway through last season, posting 32 points in 47 games. He was a key contributor at all three strengths, even earning a nomination to the NA3HL Prospect Showcase in Attleboro, MA.

“Danbury feels like home to me,” Madzey said. “It’s the best place for me to finish out my junior hockey career. I’m looking forward to testing our team’s potential against the best competition.”

“Cole practices and plays the way we want all of our players to emulate,” head coach Kevin Cunningham explained. “He wants to grow as a player, he cares about his teammates and wants to strive for success. We’re thrilled to have his leadership back in orange and black.”
