Two weeks after the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks’ season opening game against the Northeast Generals, the NA3HL edition of the Jr. Hat Tricks play their first road game of the 2022-23 season on Wednesday afternoon against the New Jersey Titans. Puck drop is at 12:30 PM ET at the Middletown Ice World Arena.
Both teams are winless and looking to get their first tally in the victory column for the new season. Both teams took on the Northeast Generals for their first contests and all three ended up as Generals wins. Danbury fell 6-4 on September 4th. Ryan Maguire stopped 41 of 47 shots faced and Jordan Ossafo had a goal and an assist for two points, including a highlight reel caliber goal.
New Jersey faced the Generals for a two-game series on September 9th and 10th, with Northeast winning 6-0 and 3-2 in overtime. Antonio Vaccaro stopped 57 of 60 shots faced in the overtime game on the 10th while Antonio Vidal and George Hinds scored goals to get the game to the extra session.
These teams met ten times in the 2021-22 season, with the Jr. Hat Tricks winning the season series 7-3. The Jr. Hat Tricks hung six or more goals on the Titans three times through the course of the season, including an 8-6 barnburner win on November 3rd. New Jersey won the first two meetings of last season.
This matchup is the start of a busy week for the Jr. Hat Tricks, as they’ll be traveling to Attleboro, MA, to play the Northeast Generals on Friday, September 23rd. Sunday the 25th and Wednesday the 28th will see the Jr. Hat Tricks face the Titans again in a home-and-home with Sunday’s matchup at the Danbury Arena and Wednesday’s matchup held at the Middletown Ice World Arena.
